Hino Launches The New 700 Series, SR1E 6x2 Prime Mover

SELANGOR, January 28 – Hino Motors Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (HMSM) announced the launch of its latest model of HINO SR1E 700 series, a new and complete heavy-duty Prime Mover, today at The Saujana Hotel, Shah Alam.

The new model is specially designed for the logistics and distribution industry as it is persistently facing increasing demands for sustainable and cost-effective production. Each component in the complex logistics process must adapt to higher standards for efficiency and the HINO SR1E is deemed as Hino’s contribution to this shift. Following an extensive analysis of the nature of logistics industry in Malaysia, Hino has developed a comprehensive range to meet the highly diverse transport assignment within this sector.

Ken Iwamoto, the Managing Director of HMSM said, “Hino sees that Malaysia has the potential in developing continuous market field to commercial vehicle industry as the land route and ground transportation is the main distribution mechanism to most of the logistics industry in Malaysia.”

The HINO SR1E, a 6x2 Prime Mover comes with a powerful 420PS horsepower EURO 3 common rail engine with turbo-charged intercooler and designed for GCW 66, 000 kg. The specialty of its lift-able third axle is to improve the operational flexibility and it also helps fuelsaving when the lift-able third axle is lifted up during travelling without a heavy load capacity.

As Hino has safety as its main policy, the HINO SR1E Prime Mover is equipped with Antilock Braking System (ABS) which helps the driver maintain control of the vehicle during emergency braking or braking on slippery road conditions. The safety features enable the vehicle to stop in a shorter distance than vehicles without. In addition, the new model comes with full air brake system that acts as an indicator in improving braking efficiency and performance.

Apart from that, the new HINO SR1E also comes with a set of SRS Airbag that is designed to minimize fatal accident and reduce shocks that may be experience by the driver if any frontal impact collision occurred. Scrutinized to drivers’ comfort, Hino has designed the new prime mover with a High-Functionality and Air Suspension Seat. The three-dimensional seat with a body-cradling form is tailor-made to support driver’s back and reduce fatigue as a prime mover is specifically devised for a long distance trip.

Transporter in the logistics industry normally involves long haul and significantly requires great performance and services as well as crucially must avoid disruptions.
