INTRODUCTION
HMSM respects and is committed to protecting your personal data and privacy. This Notice is issued in accordance
with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA") as amended by the Personal Data Protection (Amendment)
Act 2024.
TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
Your personal data may include (but is not limited to): name, NRIC/passport, date of birth, gender, nationality,
address, email, contact number, banking details, purchase/service records, vehicle details, and CCTV Images.
SOURCE OF PERSONAL DATA
We may collect data directly from you or indirectly via dealers, service centres, insurers, Financial institutions, our website/mobile apps, social media, or publicly available
PURPOSE OF COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
HMSM processes your data for sales, after-sales service, customer support, marketing (with consent), compliance with regulations, fraud prevention, safety, and business operations.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
Your data may be disclosed to regulators, Hino Group (local/overseas), dealers, vendors, auditors, insurers, banks, lawyers, and authorised third parties.
CROSS-BORDER TRANSFERS
HMSM may transfer data overseas only where the receiving country has equivalent laws, or with your explicit
consent, or where necessary for contracts/legal obligations.
MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL DATA
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards such as encryption, secure storage, access
restrictions, and audits.
RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Data will be retained only as long as necessary for the Purposes or as required by law, and securely deleted or
anonymised thereafter.
DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION
In the event of a data breach likely to result in harm, HMSM will notify the PDPC and affected individuals within 72 hours.
YOUR RIGHTS
EN: Under PDPA 2024, you may request access, correction, withdrawal of consent, limitation of processing, or lodge complaints with PDPC.
