17 UNITS OF HINO TRUCKS HANDED TO TRANSCARGO WORLDWIDE SDN BHD
Ø Transcargo Worldwide Sdn Bhd opted for HINO model for its transportation line in its future business operation to expand its business presence and branding.
Klang, 10 August 2023 – Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (HMSM) with Truck Solutions Sdn Bhd have recently handed 10 units of 300 Series PRO and 7 units of 500 Series combined in total to its new valuable customer, Transcargo Worldwide (M) Sdn Bhd. It was a deal sealed with trust and confidence between HMSM, Truck Solutions Sdn Bhd and Transcargo Worldwide as part of Transcargo Worldwide’s fleet expansion plan.
Transcargo Worldwide is an integrated logistics company that was incorporated in Malaysia in 2007. Transcargo Worldwide focuses on air freight, sea freight, customs brokerage, warehousing and distribution, inland and cross-border transportation, Ecommerce Logistics, and value-added services. Their services cover the gateway of Malaysia including Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Penang Airport and Seaport, Klang Port, Pasir Gudang Port, Tanjung Pelepas Port, and borders with Singapore and Thailand.
Transcargo Worldwide has set its sights on business expansion penetrating the vast Logistics industry with the Hino brand. Due to business expansion, the Company has decided to get its own fleet to support the increasing transport and shipping. On the reasons why Hino was chosen, Transcargo Worldwide explained that they are confident in Hino as Hino is known for their high quality and reliability. Transcargo Worldwide also states that Hino gives them a good beginning stage, especially on the truck trial, provides technical support, and is on the ground to understand their needs. Hino work closely and gives the best total support, and this led to their decision to go with Hino. Furthermore, Hino already has a network that is well established nationwide, this eases them for service maintenance and after-sales support.
Hosted by Truck Solutions, one of Hino's authorized 3S Dealers at Port Klang, the handover ceremony was conducted at Truck Solutions premises in West Port. The handing over of the trucks by Truck Solutions Executive Director, Edward Tan Kim Siong and HMSM Managing Director, Atsushi Uchiyama to Transcargo Worldwide Directors, Ong Chin Kian and Ong Chin Keong, embarks on their long-term partnership in the logistics and transportation plan.
In regards to the Hino brand that was chosen by Transcargo Worldwide, the Hino Model is installed with a smart telematics system called “HINO Connect” to support customers’ operations and fleet managers in taking care of their trucks. Users can also access truck information through myHINO mobile application as it is linked to the telematics system. Besides its primary function of protecting the truck and driver, HINO Connect is aimed to provide the best support to customers in valuing their business profit.
HMSM also takes the initiative to improve driving skills among commercial vehicle drivers through the establishment of its training centre, Hino Total Support Customer Centre (HTSCC) in Sendayan. Transcargo Worldwide has registered their fleet supervisors to sit the training and agreed higher fuel efficiency can be achieved with enhanced driving skills. Through this training, drivers will be given intensive courses that focus on driver safety, eco-cien driving, and driver familiarisation.
When it comes to aftersales services, Transcargo has signed up for The Hino Membership Premium Plus. The Hino Membership Premium Plus will give customers an extended warranty of up to 7 years and unlimited mileage, with free brake lining where customers can have their brake lining disc replaced at every 60,000km and above, and towing service support up to RM500 once a year. Customers are also entitled to any promotion should they sign up for the Hino Membership Program.
